Greetings;
I am currently running NEC 4.1 compiled for 10,000 segments to attack a
modeling problem I am facing. The model involves a very large wire-mesh
structure with resistive loadings which could be saved to a Green's
function file and connected to a complex antenna structure. The
problems that have come up are:
1 - The 10,000 segments just barely make the simple cases.
2 - I need about 500 connections from a Green's function solution.
3 - I need nearly a thousand resistive loaded segments (LD).
For item (1), I am aware of William Slauson's post on 10/04/04
concerning an apparent 10K segment limit without modifying the Fortran
source. Has anyone worked out how to double (or so) this value?
For item (2), I changed the NECPAR.INC parameter to 256 NGF connections.
Does anyone know of a limit?
For item (3), I only found that I needed LD's after I got into the
problem. Is there a limit there?
If anyone can supply solutions, suggestions, or definitive "you can't do
that(s)" I would greatly appreciate it. I am compiling and running this
on Mac OS X.
Thanks in advance,
Darryl Holder
