Hello. I'm sorry if this question has already been addressed, but I
didn't see it in the archives. According to the NEC manual, if you
want a ground plane to be included in the calculations, there needs to
be a "1" or "-1" after the "GE" on the GE card. According to the
manual, -1 would cause currents on segments touching the ground to go
to zero. I'm just wondering why that would ever be desired. (As an
example, I'm thinking of a quarter-wave monopole above a ground plane.
The current shouldn't be zero at the ground anymore than it should be
zero at the center of a half-wave dipole. However, interestingly, I
ran NEC2 with -1 and 1 and got the same result.) Thanks.
