    I am under the impression that revised versions of the noise maps (in
digital form) are used in the latest version of IONCAP, the most accessible
version of which is VOACAP. (Available from:

    It has been decades since such critical information has been used in a
graphical format. You do, however, pose a most interesting question.

     I shall try to fit in a bit of a look into my library.
