You could downgrade. Despite the program-crash the warning message is
correct and the coffee-can model is not accurate, because the EX segment is
not connected to the surface-patch and thus the voltage source is positioned
at the end of the radiating element. If you ask me, this was not meant to
work this way.

To connect 'wires' to surface patches the wire end should be positioned at
the center of the patch. This is not the case in this model as can be seen
in the connection-data in the Nec output-file.

p.s. the surface-patch bug resulting in the program crash was found and
repaired. I'll release the new 5.4.2 version (with Nec4 support) in one or
two weeks.
