The VT in these tube numbers refers to the military designation from
W.W.II. "VT" stands for "victory tube". I do not have a cross
reference of these at work, but I know the VT4C is a type 211 triode.
I assume the VT4B is similar. There were about 200 of the VT-series
of tubes. Most crossed to commercial tubes, but a few were military
specials. For those interested, I can bring in the cross-reference
tomorrow.
