What is WIREGRID for Windows ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WIREGRID for Windows (an upgrade of a previous version for DOS) is a
pre-processor for NEC. Not only is it an upgrade from DOS to Windows
but it also has MANY additional features.

FEATURES of WIREGRID for Windows ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WIREGRID makes the construction of models much quicker and less
painfull. You can either enter single (two node) wire elements (such
as that for a dipole) or you can enter the corners of a polygon (up to
10 corners). These ``major elements'' will then be meshed
automatically for you by WIREGRID. The density of the mesh can be
controlled easily.

* As the model is constructed it is shown in full 3D.
* Major elements can be edited individually with features such as:
         Copying, Rotating, Translating,
* The whole model can be scaled.
* Symmetry features of the model can be utilized.
* NEC Control Cards can be entered, edited and their effect viewed
where applicable.
* The desired output can be viewed. For example the
positions at which the field strength will be calculated is indicated
by coloured dots. The planes in which the far-fields (i.e. radiation
patterns) are calculated, is illustrated in a similar way. (Note that
that it is NOT the results that are shown.)
* WIREGRID will check the discretisation and look for duplicate
elements and non-touching nodes.
* MANY other usefull features.

WIREGRID can be downloaded from:

You can evaluate WIREGRID by using it in the ``DEMO MODE''.
In this mode ALL the features are available with the ONLY restriction
being that the number of segments/elements that can be saved are limited
to 15. Upon registration the user will receive a password, a manual and
a 3.5" disk.
