Below (bottom of page) is our attempt at a coupling simulation. We are
attempting to see the coupling effects of the HF XMT WHIP (GW 7038) on
the MP XMT DIPOLE (GW 7041) and also to get RPs of the performance of GW
7041. We have your book "Intermediate Antenna Modeling" and on pg 20-10
at the CP section you state, "The procedure requires that each specified
segment be excited with a voltage source (EX0) with the other segment
shorted." On page 20-11 you remind us that NEC4 CP does not require the
use of an EX0 so we would leave it out. Also, since we only need to
couple the sourced segments, I would assume that the below portion of
our code:
EX 0 7038 1 1 1.00000 0.00000
EX 0 7041 3 0 1 0
CP 7038 15 7041 4
CP 7038 14 7041 3
CP 7038 13 7041 3
CP 7038 12 7041 3
FR 0 1 0 0 30 1
RP 0 1 361 1001 -89 0 1.00000 1.00000
EN
Would need to be modified as such:
FR 0 1 0 0 30 1
CP 7038 1 7041 3
XQ
RP 0 1 361 1001 -89 0 1.00000 1.00000
EN
But my ultimate question is this: Which antenna are we getting RPs for -
the first antenna in the CP command (7038) or the second (7041)? Does
the order matter? Or can we even get RPs from a coupling simulation?
What does one do to include the coupling data into the model if we
cannot get RPs from the same simulation?
Thanks for the help.
