NEC-LIST: Blankets for Kashmir

Hello Folks,

It came to my attention on NPR news last week that the people made homeless
by the Kashmir earthquake are mostly facing Winter without even blankets.
We shouldn't wait for someone to organize a top-down call. If your faith
organization has an affiliated relief arm working in the area give them a
big financial boost. If not, both UNICEF and Church World Service
(ecumenical) are working in the area and would appreciate our help. We in
the North Central US have too many stories about frozen people not to know
the dangers for the Kashmiris.
