Using a 24 element array with let's say 50 segments per element comes to a
total of 1200 segments. With modern home-computers this wil need about 30
sec's of calculation time (for as single frequency)

Did you notice the site of L.B. Cebik ? (www.cebik.com). This will give you
a lot of background info about antenne modeling.

Use the double-precision. It will give you more accurate results and
execution time is only increase marginally.
