I'm interesred in running nec2 and nec4 on linux, possibly a linux
cluster (havn't decided between open mosix or beowulf). What needs to
be done to get nec4 compiled on linux workstations or clusters,
specifically to take advantage of smp and cluster capabilities?
What pre (ease of model entry for users) and post (rendering of e and h
plane patterns, frequency vs impedance, swr, smith chart plotting)
processing are available for linux?
Also nec seems best suited for batch processing of inputs...is anything
out there for linux that allows one to see mostly realtime the effects
of changes made to the model (hight above ground, changes in element
length/position)
Thanks for the help in getting started.
Eric
