Arie,
The parallel wire questions can be answered by experimentation with NEC.

Subject: NEC-LIST: parallel wire segmentation for nec2/4
Hello..,
>>From my memory I can recall that using Nec-2 (and -4 ?) parallel wires need
aligened segmentation, so I added a test on this in my 4nec2 freeware
package.
However it seems the test sometimes signals the problem when using accepted
models. (e.g. yagis with close elements)
Because I am not such a theoretical antenna guru, I ask myself when parallel
wires should be considered suspicious or not ?
- Perfect paralel wires have a zero degree angle between them, but what
when the angle becomes bigger ?
- At what minimal distance (in terms of wavelenght) between parallel wires
the equal/aligned segmentation requirement is needed?
- The same holds for the minimal overlap between close parallel wires, or
does the above only apply for paralele wires with equal length.
I already did a google search to see where I got the initial info about this
problem but could not find much, maybe someone on this list has some more
thoughts (or pointers to more info) on the subject.
Greetings,
Arie Voors.
