Good afternoon LB,

Well, it turned out that the impedance yielded by the EX5
source model went up as the number of segments increased,
and the AGI went down correspondingly. So I went in the
other direction. I found that for both EX0 and EX5 sources,
the AGI came closest to 1 when the fewest segments were used
in the radiating element. That is, 1 for EX0 and 2 for EX5.
Also, the resonant frequency for EX0 went below that for
EX5. They were the same when I was using 10-11 segments. I
used 30 segments for the radials in all of this. I didn't
do a variation test on that parameter. If the AGI is a
measure of quality of the results, the EX0 source does
better on this structure. The input resistance is still
about 5 % above the uniform current result.

I wouldn't care to draw general conclusions from our
exercises so far.

Regards,
Doug Miron
