Yes lambda/10 would be the upper limit. You can explore this by modeling
the dipole with an increasing number of segments. At some point the
impedance and resonant impedance will level off.

Subject: NEC-LIST: Significance of ?/10 segments in dipole design
I'm trying to design a dipole antenna and I was told that my segments in
my
design should be no greater than (labmda/10) per segment. Is this true
and
is it a good idea to implement it in my design code?
