If you want a fairly detailed account of various effects on HF antenna
wire get a copy of:
Conductors for HF antennas,
QEX magazine, Nov/Dec 2000, pp. 20-29.

There is a follow-up article:

Resistance of foil conductors for antennas, QEX magazine, May/June
2002, Tech Notes,

Both articles give theory, finite element modeling and experimental
results for a variety of wires, with and w/o corrosion.
