hello all!
has anyone had any experience about compiling NEC2
with the IFC ?
There's someting I don't understand at all: there's an
option for vectorizing the code. When you look at the
log file, it seems almost none of the loop were
vectorized. But when running the code, it goes more
than 2 times faster than the code without
vectorization.
According to the Intel documention, this option only
performs the vectorization, no other trick.
Anyway, compiling with the IFC gives an exe that goes
nearly 3 times faster than the g77 version , both
compilers with full options
I'm running a Mdk 9.0 (kernel 2.4.19, gcc 3.2), IFC
6.0
thanks,
