Good day,
All this chat about using the energy-based definition of Q foran antenna
computation is surprising. The energy-based definbition is useful for
closed devices like cavities, and for theoretical issues such as minimum Q
for small antennas. It is not useful for an open, real , antenna because
you don't know where the "near field" leaves off. Calculate or measure Q
using the circuit-theory definitions, it's much easier and to the point.
