Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone else has ever tried extracting and porting the
NEC-2 Norton-Summerfeld routines for use with another EM simulator.
I've been working with a variant of the classic Richmond program called
ASAP, and it appears that such the introduction of the NEC code would be
very difficult. I have ported all of the relevant NEC ground
interaction code and have it available on my website.
I am using Python and Numeric Python here for my code which makes it
very readable and suitable for educational use.
See my site below for examples. BTW, computers have gotten so darn fast
that an interpreted language like Python works very well on small and
intermediate problems. In the case of FTDT, Numeric Python brings it
close to Fortran speed, since the code can be vectorized.
Sincerely,
Rob Lytle N3FT
