MultiNEC is a freeware antenna modeling package that I made available a few
months ago. Recently I've been working on changing the program to better
support non-English language users whose customary number format contains a
comma instead of a period as the decimal separator character. Adding this
support turned out to be a much bigger task than just switching commas and
periods in the input and output files for the NEC engines. I've done as
much testing as possible using different language choices in the Windows
Control Panel, but it would be nice if some "real" foreign users could give
it a try also.
In the new version you should be able to enter all numbers using your
customary character (either comma or period) for the decimal separator. All
MultiNEC results are displayed in the appropriate format as set via the
Windows Control Panel Regional Settings language choice. The switch between
commas and periods that is necessary to interface with the NEC engines is
done without any user intervention.
For details on MultiNEC in general see www.qsl.net/ac6la/ . If you'd like
to do some informal beta testing on the new version of MultiNEC please
contact me directly for more information.
