There were two problems with the original version of the MoxGen program.
The first was an oversight on my part caused by a hurried last minute
change. (Raise your hand if you can say "Been there, done that!") The
problem was that I put a hard-coded period as a decimal separator for the
initial frequency and wire size values. That was done to match an example
file that LB has, but causes problems for international users who might be
using a comma as a decimal separator. The program has now been changed so
that it should not crash if your regional setting is a comma. BUT: Any NEC
file you produce with this setting will not be readable by modeling
programs. If you want to generate a NEC output file you will have to change
the decimal separator to a period. See the ReadMe for more details. There
are ways around this problem, I'll see about implementing one of them in the
near future. Updated program available at www.qsl.net/ac6la/MoxGen.zip.
The second was a bad assumption on my part. The MoxGen program makes use of
something called the "Windows Common Dialog" control. That's the Windows
component that is used for Open, Save As, Print, etc. I assumed that most
users would have this component available already on their system, allowing
the download file to be small. If you see an error message referring to
COMDLG32.OCX when trying to run MoxGen, please download the package
www.qsl.net/ac6la/MoxGenOCX.zip. That package does a regular Windows setup
routine and includes the COMDLG32.OCX file. The drawback is that the size
is 313 KB versus 17 KB for the original. (Insert your favorite "I hate
Microsoft" epithet here if you like, but don't shoot me, I'm just the
messenger.)
My apologies for any inconvenience.

Dan AC6LA
