MININEC (which I have) has a standing frequency offset error when
designing antennas such as yagis. As I remember it, around 300 kHz at
50 MHz. By applying the appropriate frequency correction as a
deliberate offset, good agreement with the other packages results.
The offset error becomes significant in narrow-nand antenna designs,
and shows up readily in back-to-front ratio plots, etc. I think the
difference is the way the RF "skin effect" vs element diameters and
specific resistances is modelled.
