NEC-LIST: Review of Computational Electromagetics techniques

There is a very useful overview of 8 CE techniques given by PR
Forster, 'CAD for antenna systems,' (IEE) Electronics & Communication
Eng. Journal 12(1), 2000, pp 3 -14.

It compares Finite Difference Time Domain, Transmission Line Matrix,
Finite Element, Integral Equation (this is what NEC is based on),
Physical Optics, Geometrical Optics, Geometrical Theory of Diffraction,
and Mode Matching.

All techniques have their forte, none are panaceas able to tackle all
antenna problems.

Well worth a read.
