NEC-LIST: Ribbon Source?

Hi!

I was looking at different sources for an electromagnetic code when I
saw a reference in a UCLA thesis to something called a ribbon source.
Since I'd like to know more about this source I wonder if anyone of
you know about it, or where I can find out more about this?
