Being a new reader of this list and interested in the accuracy of
different numerical solvers of integral equations I calculated Roy's
LPDA modell with PCCONCEPT, a wire-grid-version for PC of a MoM-solver.
With the feed directly across the shortest element here are the results
(f=21 MHz):
1. Z_ant= (154.1-j81.5)Ohm; g=4.66dBi #12 wire, 5 segments
2. Z_ant= (153.8-j81.3)Ohm; g=4.66dBi #12 wire, 1 segment
3. Z_ant= (151.5-j85.9)Ohm; g=4.66dBi 1/2'' dia, 5 segments
4. Z_ant= (153.1-j84.6)Ohm; g=4.66dBi 1/2'' dia, 1 segment
It is obvious that the gain is independant of the feeding configuration
and the antenna impedance Z_ant only varies slightly.
