Re: Copyright on NEC manuals
My understanding is that the University of California, which operates
LLNL, likes to get a copyright on documents when the U.S. Government
will let them. The NEC-4 code is definitely copyrighted. The NEC-2
manuals and code are completely out of the barn. The main concern at
LLNL seemed to be that anything put on the web would be accurately
reproduced with the U.C./U.S. Government disclaimer, and possibly a
disclaimer that it had been reproduced and might not be completely
accurate (if it ever was).
