NEC2 for Macintosh...

Hi!
I' ve just downloaded a copy of NEC2(Mac) from
ftp.netcom.com/pub/ra/rander/NEC but it doesn' t work on my Mac II fx
(68030 & system 7.1).
Is there anyone using NEC on a mac?
Is emulating a PC the only way for me to run NEC2?
