Attention is invited to the article, Verifying Wire-Grid Model integrity
with program "CHECK", by C.W.Trueman and S.J.Kubina, in Aces Journal V5N2,
Winter 1990. (NEC)
This uses the following relations to flag error producing situations:
For segments
length> lam/5 (lam=wavelength)
radius> lam/30
length/radius< 0.5
For jumctions
length_big/length_small> 5
radius_big/radius_small> 10
length/radius< 2
General
If segment center lies within volume of another wire
(common with acute intersection angles)
Wire axes cross
Axes are closer than sum of wire radii
End points are closer than sum of wire radii.
The graphics in the article show the problems extremely well.
These relations show why "unusual" antennas so often give strange results.
As far as I know, the progrom has not been published.
